Zaccheus Gould (son of Richard Gould and Elizabeth) was born 1589 in Hemel Hempsted, and died 1668 in Topsfield, Essex Co. Massachusetts. He married Phebe Deacon on Bet. 1617 - 1618 in Hemel Hempstead, Bovington, Herts. England, daughter of Thomas Deacon and Martha Field.
Notes for Zaccheus Gould: We do not know what prompted Zaccheus to leave England, but it seems his brother Jeremy, eight years his senior preceeded him by not less than one year and the latter was found in Rhode Island in 1638. Jeremy's first home seems to have been in Weymouth.
It seems that a number of Zaccheus' kindred came at about the same time; for not only do we find he brought his wife and five children,but we find that three, at least, of the children of his brother John, of King's Langley, had come previous to the death of their mother, Judith.
