He appeared on the census on 5 Apr 1891 in 39 Dinapore Street, Brighton, Sussex..⁽¹⁴⁾ Age 12 [with parents]. Scholar. b.Brighton He served in the military from 8 Sep 1898 to 21 Nov 1904 in India.⁽¹⁵⁾ 3rd Battalion Rifle Brigade. Source (service record) gives physical description at 21:
5 ft 5 and one eighth inches, 124 and a half pounds, hazel eyes, brown hair etc. He served in the military from 22 Nov 1904 to 1 Jan 1906 in Aden. ⁽¹⁶⁾ He served in the military from 2 Jan 1906 to 18 Jan 1910 in Home service.⁽¹⁷⁾ He was Testimonial about 1910 in Army.⁽¹⁸⁾ "He is a good violinist and clarionet (sic) player and is a most careful player. He has always been a smart soldier and has had the reputation of being one of the cleanest men of the regiment which is saying a lot in a rifle regiment. He is strictly sober, honest, and hard working." - signed by the Bandmaster. He lived at 42 Ada St, Hackney in 1921.⁽³⁾ He died on 22 Apr 1953 in East London.⁽¹⁹⁾ Memorial card held. Interred at Manor Park Cemetery. He was an Upholsterer, Bus Driver, Soldier. Tattoo: Anchor and dots on arm.

Ada Robina PILBROW was born on 14 Apr 1883 in 47 Gilpin Grove, Edmonton.⁽¹⁾ She appeared on the census on 31 Mar 1901 in 30 Cranbrook Road, Walthamstow. ⁽²⁰⁾ age 17, stepdaughter (to Charles BELL), Pickle packer,, b.Edmonton, Middlesex She lived at 34 Lever St, St.Lukes in 1909.⁽³⁾ She lived at 1 Acton St, Kingsland in 1921.⁽³⁾ She died on 20 Dec 1978 in Royal Northern Hospital, Islington.⁽⁵⁾ Brocnhopneumonia, fracture of neck of r.temur. Lived with BELL family as a child - Mayfield Rd, Dalston. Not there in 1891 census. Charles BELL was at Mayfield Road in 1881, with children from earlier marriage. Children were:
