William Pilborough, labourer, Ipswich, was charged with stealing 13s 10d and
a purse, the property of Geo.Underwood of capel St Mary - guilty. A previous
conviction was proved against the prisoner; the judge, therefore, sentenced him
to 7 years transportation but intimated that the Government would endeavour to
reclaim him from his vicious path by a course of training in this country".
He was in prison from 1 Jan 1850 to 8 Jan 1851 in Shorncliff convict station.

disclosing gross liabilities £153,123 of which £143,979 was returned
as fully secured and a surplus in assets. No creditor opposed and his hnour granted
