His brother, SPENCER REYNOLDS, had a grandson SPENCER REYNOLDS BANKSON, who was a Methodist preacher in Mississippi. His cousin HARMON REYNOLDS, settled in Jackson. Changed spelling to RUNNELS. He had one son, HIREM G. who was a Mississippi governor, and one son HARDIN R. RUNNELS who was governor of Texas. Runnel County Texas was named for him.
