| The driving force behind this research is my uncle, Tim Tipton. He has spent countless hours of searching, digging and picking the brains of just about anyone that might have the slightest knowledge of our family history. He has traced our roots back to about May 1828 to the birth of our oldest known ancestor, Jerry Sanders, in North Carolina. Jerry Sanders died in 1874 in Tipton County, Tn. Our family has branched off to include the Sanders, Tipton, McCurry and Curry families. Although there is a lot of information here, the research is far from complete. We would appreciate any additional information that will help fill in any gaps in our history. |
