The 1897 birth date comes from the burial records and the immigration records prepared when she left Mexico. The other comes from the Berber family bible (August 15, 1896).

She left El Paso Tx. on June 25, 1927 on Southern Pasific Lines train #12 via Rock Island, S.P. Chicago, New York Central then to Buffalo. She came with Jesus to meet Jose who was already here.

Saavedra is listed in family records and on her Immigration papers. However, the oldest paer record available (her son's baptism record) shows Ixta as the maiden name and lists her parents' names.
