David George(Geordie) Walwin Bacon (son of Charles Henry Bacon and Elizabeth Marilla Thomas) was born February 16, 1924 in Snowdon Township, Haliburton, Ontario, and died January 31, 1929 in Wainwright, Alberta.

Little George Walwin Bacon

On January 31st, 1929, the Almighty One called to rest another of his little ones, in the person of George Walwin Bacon, aged 4 years, ? months, 15 days. The deceased was the seventh child of Chas H. Bacon of Kinmount, Ont., and the late Mrs. Bacon, who died at the time of his birth. His mother's aunt, Mrs. David Bacon of Kinmount, Ont., then took him to raise, but two years later she died leaving him to the care of her daughter Miss M. Bacon, who accompained by her three brothers moved to the Clark Manor Farm, near Fabyan, in August. The child had never enjoyed good health and about three weeks previous to his death, he took Flu, which developed Nephritis. Dr. Wallace of Wainwright, removed him to the hospital there, where he died two days later. The remains were interred in Wainwright cemetery, Rev. Trendell conducting the service."

This little boy taught my father, Clarence Bacon how to walk.
