"We learn that Mr. Elijah Turner, near Grassy Pond, S.C. was Killed on Friday last (12 Aug), by being thrown from his horse, while returning from Church. He was eight-six years of age, a man of considerable wealth, and much respected. Mrs Ellis, his daughter, was in company with him. Her mule took flight and scared her fathers horse. Mrs Ellis' thigh was broken."
It 's unclear which daughter was with her father, 3rd daughter Nancy married Charles H. Ellis and 6th daughter Sarah "Sally" married David R. Ellis, both could be Mrs Ellis.
