17. William Washington ULIN Sr ⁽¹³⁾ was born on 24 Feb 1854 in IA. He was buried in Jun 1927. He died on 10 Jun 1927 in Port Angeles WA, Clallam Co.⁽¹⁴⁾ He has reference number 118. Migrated from IA to WA and homesteaded a farm near Neah Bay on Hoko River
around 1878. Homestead Act Deed dated 1898 signed by President McKinley;
in 1890's was a guide in Yellowstone Nat'l Park. He wrote a manuscript
about the park signed "Professor W.W. Ulin"; he lectured in IA as
"Professor"; after marriage to Clara Stauffer went to Tanasket, Okanogan
Co; 1925 sold Crispettes in Wenatchee, Carpenter & painter and once ran a
Shell station. Moved his family to Port Angeles in 1927 and became ill
with asthma on the trip. He died 3 months after their arrival at the age
of 73.

He was married to Maggie P. WILLIAMS on 13 Aug 1876 in Keokuk Co, IA. He was divorced from Maggie P. WILLIAMS. Maggie P. WILLIAMS ⁽¹³⁾ was born about 1861 in IA. ⁽⁶⁾ The Marriage Records of Keokuk Co IA lists her name as Margaret instead of
Maggie. (Perhaps Maggie was just what she was called?) William Washington ULIN Sr and Maggie P. WILLIAMS had the following children:

from this. She was buried in Pennington Cem, Keokuk Co, IA. ⁽⁷⁾ The Cemetery Records of Keokuk County lists the parents of Pearl Ulin as
W. and M.P. Ulin.

Ulin, Also Corpron, Shaver, Menifee, etc", US & CAN, 929.273, A1, #2493. Clara Josephine Cowan STAUFFER^{(10) (14)} was born on 17 Sep 1877 in Lancaster Co PA.⁽¹⁴⁾ She died on 1 Jun 1971 in Port Angeles WA, Clallam Co.⁽¹⁴⁾ Before she was married, she raised her brother Paul after their mother
died.
She met William through Lonely Hearts Club started as a joke with her girl
friends. William came to PA to marry her. Her brother Paul was the
