Both Arthur A. and Elizabeth (Bazler) hatfield, native of Ohio, the former of Pickaway co. and the later of Ross county. Both born in the year 1843, and married in 1865 in the county of Pickaway.
In the year 1861-1865 arthur was a soldier an the 45th Ohio regiment, afterward re-enlisting in the 43rd ,serving 3 years and a half in the western army under General Sherman. He was wounded in the battle of Missionary ridge, which resulted in his honorable discharge from the army.
Both he and wife are still living , he being a well to do farmer in Pickaway Co. Elizabeth is a desendent of one of the early German families in Ross county. Parents: John Wessley Hatfield and Susannah Fraizer.

Children were: Luanna Hatfield , Sophia Hatfield, Elizabeth Hatfield, Charles C. M.D. Hatfield, Marilla Hatfield, Clara Mae Hatfield.
