32. Tamme Molles VAN DEN BOSCH (1) was born on 20 Mar 1798 in De Knipe, Friesland, Netherlands. He was Seceeders in 1821 in Drenthe, Netherlands. (3) Poor and intensely religious, the van den Bosch family joined the Secession, a move which probably did not advance their material welfare. He emigrated after 21 Mar 1821 from Wolvega, Friesland, Netherlands to Havelte, Drenthe, Netherlands. He emigrated in 1846 from Havelte, Drenthe, Netherlands to Witten, also in Drenthe. He immigrated in May 1848 to Netherlands to New York and then to N. of New Gronigan, Michigan, USA. (4) When the public and the government expressed their ill will toward Seceeders, Tamme talked about emigrating. Just about this time the eldest of his nine children, Koene, was entering upon his minissterial career, but three of Tamme's sons expressed a desire to go to America, whereupon Tamme said to his wife: "Then we must go with them, for the practice of our faith is free in America, but that is precisely what we desire." "Yes, replied Grietje (Bont), "but I canmnot bring myself to take this step, because Koene cannot go with us, and to leave him here is something I cannot bear." But father and children, including daughter Grietje, soon decided to emigrate, while mother van den Bosch remained reluctant. After she rose one morning, however, she spoke to Tamme: "Father, now I am ready to go to America . . . . I have prayed to God that He might give me freedom to leave, if it is His will we emigrate to America, and He has indeed given me this freedom, has heard my prayer; I am ready to leave for America!" He died in 1874 in Zeeland, Michigan. He was Crossed the ocean on the ship Scandia 1847/48 Spring. He was buried in On farm of Mrs. Evers, 2 miles north of Zeeland, Michigan. He was married to Grietje Koenen BONT on 7 Mar 1821 in Grieteny West Stellingwerf (now called Wolvega), Friesland, The Netherlands.
