18. Jonathon HILDRETH ^{(23) (70)} was born bet 1831 & 1837 in Logan, Sangamon Co, IL. There are conflicting pieces of information on the origin of Jonathon Hildreth. The Family History Center Ancestral File has a record of Jonathon being born in Logan, Sangamon Co, IL in 1837. However, the death certificate of Ella Marie (Hildreth) Walker states that her father, Jonathon Hildreth, was born in Burbon, KY. The information on the death certificate was provided by her son, James W. Walker, and could be erroneous.
He was born in Burbon, KY. He has Ancestral File number 1L3M-CB5. I believe that Jonathan Hildreth and Jonathan Heldreth were the same person. More research will have to be done to verify this assumption. I also believe that Anna Sofely and Marie A. Safely were the same person. The Illinois Statewide Marriage Index 1763 - 1900 lists a Jonathan R. Hildreth married to Malinda N. Saffely on 8 Sep 1859 in Sangamon Co, IL.
