She died on 31 May 1246 in Fontrevrault, Anjou, France. ^(402)(696) She was buried on 31 May 1246 in Abbey Fontevrault, Maine-et-Loire, France. Isabella of Angouleme, former Queen of King John I of England, then wife of Hugh de Lusignan, was buried at the Abbey of Fontrevaud in Maine-et-loirre, near the former Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine and her son, Richard the Lion Heart. She was also known as Nun Felice. Isabella of Angeloume. b. abt 1182 - daughter of Aymer, Count of Angouleme. Isabella was betrothed to marry Hugh Lusignan, Count LaMarch, but she was married to King John of England in 1200. Her Coronation as Queen of England was held at Westminster Abbey on 8 October 1200. Hubert Walter, Archbishop of Canterbury performed the ceremony.

Isabell was Mother of King Henry III in 1207. Imprisoned by her husband King John 1214-16 in Gloucester; released after his death. Upon her release she returned to France and married Hugh, Count of LaMarche (1220). She became estranged from her 2nd husband, Hugh de Lusignan, Count la Marche.

Isabella went to the Abbey of Fontevraut, became the Nun Felice, and died there.
