He Coronation King of Germany in 1152 in Frankfort, Germany.(1208) Frederick, Duke of Swabia, was elected King of the Germans March 5, 1152 at Frankfurt. He succeeded his uncle, King Conrad III. He was part Welf and Wablingen, and it was hoped his election would end the rivalry between the divided German states. He was crowned at Aix la chapelle March 9 to begin his 38 year reign. He Ruled Germany between 1152 and 1190.(1209) Frederick I, called the Barbarossa, succeeded his uncle, Conrad III, as King and Emperor of Germany in 1152. He ruled until 1190, and was succeeded by his son, Henry VI. He Was Crowned in 1155 in Germany. He Battle of Italy Campaigns between 1157 and 1177. (734)(1210) Frederick I the Barbarosa, Holy Roman Emperor began a series of campaigns into Italy in 1157, the first of which at Rome was a disaster to his army which died of typhus or some other plague. He returned in 1158 in June, and took Milan, and began a long struggle with the Pope Alexander III. In 1166 he was joined in a conspiracy by William II of Sicily and the Lombards to get rid of the Pope. In 1167 Frederick stormed Rome, but again his army was destroyed by a pestilence, and he returned to Germany. In 1177 he signed a treaty with Pope Alexander III at Venice in August, which began a six year peace between the Lombard League and the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick I. He Coronation King of Burgundy on 30 Jul 1178 in Arles, Tuscany. Frederick I, Barbarosa, Holy Roman Emperor was crowned King of Burgundy in 1178 on July 30. He had the ceremony repeated in 1186. He Crusader between 1186 and 1190 in Holy Land. (734)(1211) Frederick I the Barbarosa, Holy Roman Emperor had himself crowned again in 1186 at Milan. Then he prepared to take the cross and prepare for a third Crusade. The actual crusade began in May of 1189, and he left Regensburg at the head of a splendid army, headed over the Alps. On June 10, 1890, trying to ford the river Calycadnus (Geuksu) near Selicia ISelfke or Celicia, he drowned. Some records say he died while bathing in the river. He was 67. He died on 10 Jun 1190 in Cilicia or Selecia. He was buried in Tyrus. Unknown place near Tyrus. He was also known as The Barbarossa; Red beard of Welf & Waiblingen. He was married to Beatrix of Macon on 9 Jun 1155 in Wurzburg, Germany.(1212) Frederick I, The Barbarosa, Holy Roman Emperor married Beatric, daughter of the late count of Upper Burgundy, Renaud III, and the marriage added Upper Burgundy, aka the French Comte, to his domain.

She Coronation Empress Holy Roman Empire in 1167 in Rome.(1214) When her husband, Frederick I the Barbarosa took Rome in 1167, he had the new anti-pope Paschall III enthroned, and at the same had his wife Beatrix/Beatric crowned as Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. She died after 1177 in Gatinais, Chateau-Landon, France. She was also known as Beatrice. Children were:

child i. Henry VI of Hohenstauffen Holy Roman Emperor was born in 1165 in Stauffen Castle, Swabia. He was christened in 1184 in Germany. Knighted on Whitsun. He Coronation Ceasar in 1186 in Milan, Italy. (1215) Frederick I the Barbarosa, had himself crowned at Holy Roman Emperor in 1186 at Milan, and at the same time crowned his son Henry as Ceasar, a deliberate revival of the old Roman title. At the same time he crowned Henry's wife, Constance as Queen of the Germans. He Ruled Germany between 1190 and 1197. (1216) Henry VI of the House of Hohenstaufen, succeeded his father, Frederick I the Barbarossa as Emperor of Germany in 1190. Henry VI ruled until 1197, and was succeeded by his brother, Philip of Swabia. He died on 28 Sep 1197 in Messina. He was also known as Ceasar.
