| Roswell Franklin and his wife Jerusha Hicock are both listed in the Daughter’s of the American Revolution Index. They were born in Connecticut and after the Revolutionary War settled in the Wyoming Valley of Pennsylvania. Jerusha and their youngest child was killed by Indians in Pennsylvania in 1781. After loosing his wife and child Roswell and his remaining children headed west and settled along Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Roswell was the first white man to live in this area, which is now known as Aurora, New York. To complete my story I am looking for the following sir-names. Ditton : Central New York in the 1880’s Goodrich : Cayuga County, New York in the 1790’s Group : Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York in the 1860’s Putnam : New Woodstock, New York around 1817 Rodgero : Suffolk County, New York in the late 1790’s Smith : Suffolk County, New York in the 1790’s VanderPool : Centrol New York in the 1870’s |
