2. ROBERT2 WEATHERFORD (ARCHIBALD1) was born March 23, 1870 in North of Hardin County, KY, and died July 21, 1952 in Munfordville, Hart County, KY. He married (1) KATE POPE BOARD November 15, 1898 in Breckinridge County, KY at the bride's home, daughter of JAMES BOARD and FANNIE. He married (2) MARTHA WILLIAM CHAMBLISS June 23, 1915, daughter of WILLIAM CHAMBLISS and MARY WALKER.

OBERT WEATHERFORD:
Robert was the first child of Archibald and Priscilla Payne Weatherford. In Breckinridge County on November 15, 1898 he married first to Kate "Katie" Pope Board. They were married at the bride's house by the Rev. James T. Lewis and their marriage was recorded in Breckinridge County and listed Bob's occupation as a nerchant. Matthew "Mat" Pulliam Payne and Allie M. Weatherford witnessed the marriage and Clarence S. board signed as surety.

In 1915/16 he married Martha William "Willie" Chambliss. She was the daughter of William and Martha Chambliss. Willie lived in Hodgenville, KY in 1969.

Bob was a nephew of Mat Payne, but they were about the same age and good friends in their younger days. Both drove beautiful fast horses in their courting days and were known for their daring escapades. Bob owned a general store in Hardin with his father and bought out his father's interest. In addition, Bob was a licensed undertaker and had an elaborate horse drawn hearse. In 1912, the Hardin postmaster, James "Jim" Nicholas Payne, moved the post office
to Bob's store. Bob was a Notary Public and notarized many documents for the citizens of the Hardin community. He sold the store and undertaker business to Lee Alexander in 1927 and moved to Cloverport where he operated "Weatherford Motor Company" a short time, then moved to Munfordville, KY where he had a Ford auto agency.

ob, a Methodist and Mason, died at Munfordville. His first wife, "Katie", was buried in Moredock Cemetary which is located near the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Garfield, KY. Bob had 2 children by his first marriage and 3 by his second marriage: 1) Bessie Board, 2) Roberta Katherine, 3) Ruth Walker, 4) Robert, Jr. and 5) Gene.

ATE POPE BOARD:
In the 1880 census Katie, her sister Nannie, and her brother Clarence S. Board were being raised by their uncle, John H. Moredock (born 12-24-1842 and died 8-5-1926).

Katie was buried in Moredock Cementary which is located near the Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Garfield, KY.

They were married at the bride's home by the Rev. James T. Lewis and their marriage was recorded in Breckinridge County Marriage Bond Book 24, page 238, and listed Bob's occupation as merchant. Mathew "Mat" Pulliam Payne and Allie M. Weatherford witnessed the marriage and Clarence S. Board signed as surety.

BOARD - WEATHERFORD
      On Tuesday eve at 5:30, Nov. 15, Mr. Robert Weatherford, Jr., member of the firm of Weatherford & Son, leading merchants of Harned, Ky., was quietly married at the home of the bride, Mrs. Fannie M. Board, to Miss Kate P. Board. The marraige was quite a surprise to the public. As it was only known to few of their acquaintances, and in the presence of a very limited number of their many friends. The ceremony was quite an impressive one, which was solemnized by the Rev. Jas T. Lewis, Irvington, Ky. Mr. Weatherofrd is not only a model, energetic business man, but specially noted for his social attainments. The bride was one of Garfield's fairest and was one of the leaders of the highest social circle, while the bride was not only a beautiful and attractive one, but she possess the intelligence and energy to make a useful wife. Immediately after the ceremony the yreturned to the home of his parents, where an elegant and sumptuous supper was awaiting the couple and a few chosen guests, viz: Mrs. A.L. Reid, Louisville; Miss Nannie Board, Allie and Everitt Weatherford, Mr. and Mrs. I.B. Payne, Mat P. Payne, George Gray, O.S. Borad and Mr. and Mrs. Jas N. Payne. Mr. and Mrs. Weatherford will make their future home at Harned. Their many friends extend their congratulations and hope to see their future crowned with brilliancy and sunshine.
