THIRTEENTH GENERATION

4140. John Sr, Webster (13) was born about 1570 in Possibly Glasgow, Scotland. (17) He immigrated about 1634 to Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts. (13) He emigrated about 1634 from Probably from the city of Ipswich, Warwickshire, England. (13)(13) He died After 1642 & b4 September 29, 1646 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. (126) John Webster, Senior came to Massachusetts with three sons about 1634, from Warwickshire, England, probably from the city of Ipswich. He was of Scottish descent, having removed from Glasgow.

John Webster was admitted a freeman in Boston March 4, 1634, removed by 1639 to Ipswich when he was noted as an absent witness in an Essex court trial in September 1639. He again appears in a case in 1641 and was a member of the jury trial in March 1642. In June 1640 "John Webster was tried." He was then a Baker.

The inventory of his estate was presented to the Essex Court September 29, 1646 by the widow, Mary Webster, who was also appointed the administratrix. "Petition of Mary, widow of John Webster, that her eldest son John should have the land called the farm of about 32 acres... when he is twenty-one years old, he to ma Nathan, the youngest child, 5 pounds(Sterling) at fourteen years.... that Mary, Stephen and Hannah may have the Island bought of the widow Andrews in equal portions when they shall be twenty-one that Elizabeth, Abigail and Israel have 20 nobles each when twenty-one". He was married to Mary.

4141. Mary died on Apr 28 1694 in Newbury, Massachusetts. Mary remarried October 29 1650 in Newbury, John Emery, Senior, who died there November 3, 1683. Children were:
