If this is the same Charles Whitcomb that lived in Flint MI on May 16th. 1930, the information thus far given for him is in gross error.
As reported on the census report for Flint, MI dated May 16, 1930:
Charles Whitcome age 48 (born late 1881or early 1882). Married (at age 29 - 1910 to 1912). Born in MI, father born in MI and mother born in Ohio. Works as a foreman in the auto industry. The information given for his wife, Jessie fits what has been offered for Jessie McEachin, if her mother's place of birth is Michigan, except that her birth place is listed as Michigan, not Canada.
This couple's son, Mervin L., was born in MI and 8 years old (born 1921 or 1922) at the time the census was taken, wich fits the information I have been given.
