Quote from the Garnett Journal Newspaper Dated Friday February 19, 1897:

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Fenton, living near Glenlock have the heartfelt sympathy of a large circle of friends in the loss of their infant daughter who died last Sunday.

She is buried in Pleasantview Cemetery 6 miles outside Glenlock, KS between Glenlock and Garnett.

The name was received from Mrs. Harry G. Stogsdill of 1462 N.E. 9th BEnd, Oregon 97701.

Notes for ANNE BYRTHEL BROWN:
After the death of her second husband, George Daniel Cochren, Anne Byrthel Brown moved to Missouri to live with a daughter and did housekeeping for local families. One was a widower was Dan Willard. They married and then Dan went to work for the railroad and ended up in Nebraska. They were a sweet old couple. Anne was known for her waist aprons. She had dozens of them, made from scraps of every dress, curtain, bedspread she had ever made. Close family members have "crazy quilt" tops that she made from such scraps.
