Warren Gamaliel Harding Black was a family man, he enjoyed the company of his grandchildren. He was especially close to his grandson, Thomas Whiteman, III, the family called him Tommy.

Warren Harding Black, 78

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel in Oklahoma City for Warren Harding Black, 78, of Midwest City. Father Charles Murphy will officiate. Burial will
follow at 4 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Calera.

The son of Willie E. and Inez Brown Black, he was born Nov, 1, 1920, in Calera.

He was a WWII veteran serving in Africa and Europe and was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He then worked for the Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base and retired in 1974.

He married Irene Blados on Oct. 3, 1942, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister George Crow and a grandson.

Irene Black
Services for Irene Black, 76, Midwest City were held May 31 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery, Calera, Oklahoma under the direction of Bill Eisenhour SE Funeral Home. She passed away May 26.
Irene served in the Altar Society and Mobile Meals with the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and was very involved in their activities. She was a avid music lover.
She is survived by two sons, Robert and spouse Karen Black of Tyler, Texas and Steven A. Black of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Alicia and spouse Tom Whiteman, Jr. of Edmond, Oklahoma and Claudia and spouse Randy Shockey of Plano, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Kristie and spouse Jaime Hobart, Jamie Whiteman and Tommy Whiteman III, all of Edmond, Peyton, Chandler, and Carly Shockey of Plano, Texas, Katherine Black of Tyler and Trey Chastain of Dayton, Ohio; 5 sisters, Helen Puglisi, Heddy Chrzanowski, Dorothy Perez, Chare Gracia, and Lucy Lozada; 5 sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
