Kirk-firestone writes that she was a slender, gentle woman. Had a talent for needlework, and made quilts, one of which took 1st prize at he World's fair in San Francisco. Canned a lot of fruit and vegetables. Was a night person and stayed up late quilting. Husband, John Aaron Brady, Jr. was an early riser and went to bed early. They would spar verbally in the mornings, because he would be up, and she would like to sleep. She took care of all their business transactions, and got John to sign his X when needed. Was very modest and always wore ankle length dresses. She chewed tobacco, but tried to keep it hidden. John continued to call for her in a loud whisper every morning after she died.
