Tolland Co., CT. Removed to Charleston, Portage County, OH, about 1820. This
family is mentioned in "Pioneer Women of The Western Reserve", where
the four daughters are described as accomplished singers. He has reference number
666. Removed to Charleston, Portage County, Ohio about 1820. The following account
of his daughters appeared in "Memorial to the Pioneer Women of The Western
Reserve":
"The four daughters of Deacon and Mrs. Oliver Wilcox were also good singers.
They were Mrs. Laurana Curtis, Mrs. Clarissa Randall, Mrs. B. F. Pitman, and
Mrs. Mary Newton".
He was married to Eleanor Hammond (daughter of
Nathaniel Hammond and _______ _______).
