2170. George Wilcox ⁽²⁴²⁶⁾ was born on 6 Feb 1807 in Surry, Cheshire Co., NH. He died on 28 Oct 1881 in Surry, Cheshire Co., NH. He has reference number 1028. George was a captain in the militia, and was also engaged many years building and repairing carriages. He served as town treasurer for several years and selectman, 1848, 1867, 1868. He was married to Aurelia M. Reed (daughter of Lewis Reed and Nancy Harvey) on 28 May 1840. Aurelia M. Reed was born in 1818. She died on 25 Dec 1854 in Surry, Cheshire Co., NH. Sister of Nancy George Wilcox and Aurelia M. Reed had the following children:
