678 ix. Gideon Wilcoxson⁽⁴⁹⁰⁾ was born on 24 Aug 1750 in Stratford, Fairfield Co., CT. He died in 1777 in Ripton, Fairfield Co., CT. He has reference number 380. Gideon served in the Revolutionary War, was captured and held prisoner for a time in the "Sugar House" in New York. After his release he died at Ripton in 1777. His estate was administered and distributed to his brothers Elisha, David and John and to his sisters, Elizabeth Lake, Ruth Hubbel, Martha Beach, Huldah Coe, and Abiah McCune.
