358. Adam Wilcoxson (553) was born on 1 Apr 1734 in Killingworth, Middlesex Co., CT. He died on 22 May 1828. He has reference number 139. He was buried in Stowe Square Cemetery, Lowville, NY. Adam Wilcox served in the war between England and France in 1755 under Lieutenant-Colonel Andrew Ward, and in November of the same year was transferred to Captain Somers Hoby's company of Connecticut troops which were stationed that winter at Fort Edward. Adam was discharged in May 1756. He enlisted again in 1759 under Lieutenant Daniel Gripald of Captain Bishop's company of Connecticut troops ( Fishers regiment), discharged in December of same year at said time under General Simon. According to Hough's "History of Lewis County, NY", this family removed to Lowville, NY about 1797 and settled there.

He was married to Esther Post (daughter of Nathan Post and Hannah _______) on 19 Dec 1763 in Saybrook, Middlesex Co., CT. Esther Post was born on 22 Feb 1739. She died on 22 Jan 1822. Adam Wilcoxson and Esther Post had the following children:
