726. Elisha J. Wilcoxson (1025) (1026) was born on 2 Oct 1767 in Killingworth, Middlesex Co., CT. He died on 14 Jul 1852. He has reference number 423. In 1789, when 21 years of age he went to Oneida, NY, to work as assistant surveyor. He was called back to Killingworth by reported sickness of his mother and there married the sister of Joseph Hill of Essex, CT. He the emigrated with his wife to Lewis Co., NY, in 1796. He was one of the first white settlers of that county, if not the first settler. He acquired 600 acres of land in the town of Leyden, Lewis county, upon which he lived for the balance of his life, and developed into a highly successful dairy farmer.

He was married to Hannah Hill. Hannah Hill was born in 1769. She died in Jul 1823. She was buried in Locust Grove Cemetery, Lewis Co., NY. Elisha J. Wilcoxson and Hannah Hill had the following children:

He was married to Clarissa Boardman. Clarissa Boardman was born in 1791. She died in 1848.
