732. Joseph Wilcox ⁽¹⁰⁴⁵⁾ was born on 5 Sep 1778 in Killingworth, Middlesex Co., CT. He died about 1849. He has reference number 428. Known locally as "Joseph the 3rd.". He is probably the individual who married Mabel Carter there.

He was married to Mabel Carter on 9 Aug 1798 in Killingworth, Middlesex Co., CT. Mabel Carter ⁽¹⁰⁴⁶⁾ died in 1840. Joseph Wilcox and Mabel Carter had the following children:

1394 i. Nancy Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁴⁷⁾ was born on 26 Jan 1799. She died in Aug 1801.
1395 ii. Josiah Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁴⁸⁾ was born on 25 May 1801. He died on 15 Aug 1815.
+1396 iii. Charlotte Wilcox.
1397 iv. Harvey Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁴⁹⁾ was born on 22 May 1806. He died on 24 Feb 1809.
+1398 v. Joseph Wilcox.
+1399 vi. Martin Wilcox.
1400 vii. Nancy Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁵⁰⁾ was born on 27 Jan 1813.
1401 viii. Harvey Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁵¹⁾ was born on 18 Oct 1815. Removed to Marshall, Illinois.
1402 ix. Josiah Carter Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁵²⁾ was born on 13 Dec 1819. He died on 25 Mar 1909.

He was married to Mary Atwood after 1840. Mary Atwood ⁽¹⁰⁵³⁾ died in 1882. Joseph Wilcox and Mary Atwood had the following children:

1403 i. William Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁵⁴⁾ was born on 5 Mar 1841. He died on 24 Sep 1886.
1404 ii. Benjamin Wilcox⁽¹⁰⁵⁵⁾ was born on 25 Jan 1843. He died on 4 Aug 1864. Served in the Civil War, Company B, 135th Ohio National Guard. He was wounded and captured at North Mountain, July 3, 1864, and died of his wounds August 4, 1864. He is buried in a cemetery near Kirkersville, OH.
