There was no Colonel William in the Revolution but he may have attained this rank in the CT. militia subsequent to the revolution.

He was married to Mercy Case (daughter of Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber). Mercy Case was born in 1761. She died on 19 Sep 1809. William Wilcox and Mercy Case had the following children:
