I asked the indian woman who married her and asked what the name signed, it is simply a womans name.
If you want to find the record of fathers and mothers wedding you will find it in the large bible at Sterlings. Oh, yes, in regard to the family history, you asked whether it was Miss Cox or Miss Van Loo whom our ancestor John Stuart found in a tulip garden. Mother explained very minutely to me that it was Miss Van Loo, whose Mother's maiden name was Cox. The Van Loo's were a fine dutch family ___________ and there is a large estate which is still undivided belonging to the Van Loo's. I take up for the Van Loo's
