Was a Rev. solider serving in the company commanded by Captain Dickerson and the Regiment commanded by Colonel William Moore. He served 3 months beginning in Dec. of 1780. He was again drafted in Sept. of 1781 and served for a period of three months. He made application for a pension in Aug. 1833, and thepension was granted. His sister, Elizabeth Johnson, testified for him. He was living in Jackson Co. , Tennessee at
the time.
After the war, Thomas lived in Russell Co., Virginia., on the Clinch
River; in Greene Co., Tennessee, on the Notachucky River; Davidson Co.,
Tenn; Robertson Co., Tennessee, Jackson Co., Tennessee;Indiana,
Illinios, Arkansas, Kentucky and Greene Co., Missouri.
Thomas came to Greene Co., Mo. sometime around 1833. He was one of the very early members of the Church of Christ and is said to have helped organize the Center Point Church of Christ near Rogersville. This church dates back probably to the 1830's.[Potter Hankins land 11 30 open 5 24 4.FTW]
