Above all, Barney was fun-loving and I remember his laughter the most!!
He loved his children and grandchildren and often hauled the grand kids
home with him for a few weeks.

Barney was a salesman and sold everything you can imagine, including
automobiles, tires, gasoline, Watkins Products, and groceries.

Barney and Bessie had several grocery stores in the late 1950's and early
1960's. One on Avenue M in Temple, TX and one in Schwertner, TX.

An ad in the Brady paper for used cars said "If you don't buy your car
from Barney, we both lose money." This was around 1935. Later, as
auto's and tires were rationed for the war, Barney moved to Uncle
Finley's old place for 6 weeks near Pendleton and his daughters attended
Troy High School. The family then moved to Temple and Kloma and Jo
graduated from Temple High School.[2271980 des.ged]
