He was married to Mary THOMPSON (daughter of James THOMPSON and Ann MORROW) on 10 Feb 1819 in Orange Co., NC. ⁽⁸⁴⁾ Mary THOMPSON ⁽²⁸⁾ was born in 1800. She died in 1825. Mary was the sister of Elinor "Nelly" who married his brother John. They had three children.
