217. William Arthur WOODY was born on 15 Dec 1824 in Roane Co., TN. He died on 19 Sep 1915 in Parker Co., TX. He was buried in Veal Station Cemetery, Parker, TX. Moved to Fannin Co., TX, 1846-48. 1848 - White Settlement, Tarrant Co., TX. Parker Co., TX (1st white people to locate land, settle, and build a home in that part of the county 1850.
Gave land for Veal Station cemetery to the community. 1st settler in Veal Station @ 1854. His sister, Jane, married George Preston "Press" Farmer who is the brother of his wife Elizabeth.

He was married to Elizabeth Lydia FARMER (daughter of Elijah Ward FARMER Sr and Martha Jane PRESTON) on 15 Jan 1846 in Roane Co., TN. Elizabeth Lydia FARMER⁽¹⁸⁰⁾ was born on 13 Sep 1822 in Roane Co., TN. She died on 10 Feb 1879 in Parker Co., TX. She was buried in Veal Station Cemetery, Parker, TX. Baptist; parents Elijah Ward & Martha Jane Preston Farmer, Sr.; grandfather George Preston was one of the 1st Justices in 1799 to be appointed by Robert Houston to lay out the township of Kingston, Roane Co., TN. Brother was Press Farmer, husband of Jane Woody.

He was married to Biddy STEWART in 1880.

He was married to Dorah NIX on 28 Sep 1883. Dorah NIX was born on 21 Apr 1838. She died on 24 Sep 1895 in Veal Station, TX. Willliam wanted to marry Madora's sister after Madora died but his children talked him out of it. He left her things in his will.
