Frances M. Michael
Frances M. Michael, 91, of New Haven Court in Center Township, formerly of East Jefferson Street, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Jan. 13, 1911, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Alice Lambermont Sinz.
She had been a waitress at Dight’s Diner, a salesperson at Troutman’s and a cashier at Loblaw’s supermarket. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing 500.
Mrs. Michael was the oldest living member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and past president of the Lutheran Christian Women and the church Quilting Circle.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Fred E. and Rose Michael of Meridian and Robert C. and Judy Michael and David L. and Frances Michael, all of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Paul J. (Florence J.) Thompson of Franklin; a daughter-in-law, Betty Michael of Banbury, England; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert G. and his wife Dorothy Sinz of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Schultz and Mrs. Louise McLaren, both of Butler; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Michael, who died April 20, 1989; a son, Thomas R. Michael; and three brothers, Paul, Charles and Raymond Sinz.
MICHAEL — Friends of Frances M. Michael, who died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 2 p.m. only on Sunday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michelle Nickodemus, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
