Wanda B. Poole, 99, of Hartford, died Friday, May 10, 2002 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.

Funeral services will be held May 10, 2002 at 2 p.m. in Pondtown United Methodist Church with the Revs. Charles Cobb and Neal Brown officiating.. Burial will follow in the church cemetary with Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mrs Poole was born in Hartford on May 29, 1902. She earned her teaching certificate and taught school for four years in Jackson County, Fla. She was a homemaker and lived on a farm homesteaded by her grandfather.

Mrs. Poole was a lifelong member of Pondtown United Methodist Church where she was the church pianist until 1998. She also served as leader of the Epworth League, member of the Adm. Board, and was the church treasurer.

Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben Linton Burch and Martha Ann Durden Burch; husband, Hubert S Poole; brothers Linton Burch, V.C. Burch, Mike Lee Burch and sister, Malzie Burch.

ANNA SINZ: OBITUARIES
Mrs. Thomas Shannon
Mrs. Anna Shannon, 92, of 1224 Shehy Street, died of a coronary thrombosis at 2:45 a.m. Sunday in North Side Hospital following a day's illness.
Mrs. Shannon was born May 4, 1874 in Red Bank, PA, a daughter of Paul and Mary Golder Sinz, and came to Youngstown 50 years ago from Butler, Pa. she was a member of Sacred Heart Church. Her Husband, Thomas, to whom she was married in 1899, died in 1930.
She leaves three sons, John, William, and Thomas, and Two daughters, Miss Pauline Shannon and Mrs. Ralph Kelly, all of Youngstown; two brothers, Charles and John Sinz, both of Butler, and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home.
