Notes for CELINA MONET: SURPRISE SHOWER MISS LOUISE LAMBERMONT SURPRISED WITH PROFUSION OF GIFTS AT EVENING PARTY On Wednesday evening last at the Moniot home, 416 Fernando Court, there was given a surprise shower for Miss Louise Lambermont, who will soon become the bride of Rennie Larrett, a young business man of Los Angeles. The guest of honor were invited simply to an evening party, given by numerous young friends and had no hint of the shower which was to be the main event. Music and games occupied the evening until 10 o clock when the bride-to-be was showered with many beautiful gifts, which will be appreciated in the new home. She warmly thanked the friends who had prepared the happy surprise for her. Then the guests were all seated around table in the yard, which was made to represent a Japanese tea garden. The Japanese lanterns hanging from the trees completed the illusion. Dainty refreshments were then served, while the guests were entertained with music. Those present were Misses Louise, Emma, Celine Blanche and Julia Moniot, Hazel and Edna Colton, Gladys Spangler, Louise Mabermont, Sybil Roake, Tessa Bott, Irene Riley, Myrtle Ogier, Ardell Taylor, Ruth Sunkes, Martha Eichenhoffer, and Esther Flanders; Messrs. And Mesdames Ben Glasscock, Geo. Van Hazelen, Rodeny Doremus and Boyd McKinley; Rennie Larrett, Ed Moniot, W. M. Dickson and Frank Searle; Frank Wade of Los Angeles. September 1919 FAREWELL SHOWER MISS TAYLOR HONORED BY FRIENDS ON EVE OF DEPARTURE FOR HOLLYWOOD A very pleasant, social affair was held Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Boyd McKinley on North Louise street. It was a farewell for Miss Ardelle Taylor, who is leaving Glendale to make her home in Hollywood. Games and music were enjoyed and dainty refreshments were served to the guests who were gathered around a prettily-appointed table centered with carnations and ferns. The guest of honor was the recipient of quite a shower of pretty gifts to serve as remembrance from her friend. The ladies who enjoyed the affair were: Misses Ardelle Taylor, Myrtle Ogier, Ruth Sunkes, Tessa Bott, Irene Riley, Hazel and Edna Colton, Esther Flanders, Emma, Louise and Celine Moniot, Genevieve Doremus, Louise Lambermont, Sybil Roake, Gladys Spangler, Martha Eichenhoffer, and Mrs. Boyd McKinley.
