He was married to POLLY between 1810 and 1820 in UNKNOWN. Post OfTice for Whetstone it has listed:

Wm. Roach, 2 1, K Fanner; Cattarine, 20, F; Ara E, 3/12, F. (That's the way her name is spelled on the census, don't know if it is right or not)

I'm wondering if this indicates that Wm (30 yrs old) & James are brothers & sons of Jerry & Pofly? I know that Wm (21 yTs. Is James' son) I know that the census states that James was bom in SC but that his dad was bom is Va. Can anyone help here?

William Roach, aged 74 years, died Sunday in the mfli village. His
body was taken to Hofly Springs cemetery yesterday for interment. Mr. Roach had been in delicate health several months.
I'm wondering if this is the Wm. that was 30 M. in the 1860 census, there is about a 3 yr difference but I've found that the numbers aren't always on target on the census or in the paper. POLLY was born ABT1900 in NORTH CAROLINA. JEREMIAH (JERRY) ROACH and POLLY had the following children:

5 iii. MARIANNA ROACH was born ABT1835 TO 40 in SOUTH CAROLINA.
+6 iv. MILLE ELIZABETH ROACH.

+8 vi. JOHN ROACH.
+9 vii. HENRY ROACH.
