William E. Roach Dies At Home Of Son
Funeral services for William E. Roach, 72, who died at the home of his son, Earnest, in the poplar Springs community Saturday afternoon, were held at the Double Springs Baptist Church above Walhalla this afternoon with Rev. Sinclair officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Ansel and Company of Walhalla, Funeral Directors in charge. Mr roach was survived by four daughters, Mrs George Swofford, Mrs Vic McDonald,Mrs Cole Hopkins, and Mrs Mason Hopkins; five sons, Robert,Louis,Jesse,Dee and Earnest and two brothers , Baxter and kyle.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Jason,John,Harley and Clark Roach, and Earnest and Gurley Swofford.

He was married to NANCY LYLES. NANCY LYLES was born on 28 Jan 1871. She died on 12 Dec 1936 in DOUBLE SPRINGS METHODIST CH CHATTOGA RIDGE RD MT REST. WILLIAM (WILLIE) ROACH and NANCY LYLES had the following children:
