My Uncle Vernon was always a quiet man. He was a contractor by trade. I always loved to talk and they say I had a big imagination as a child. I can remember being told that one time when we were coming home from a trip, I had talked so much that Uncle Vernon told them to stop the car and let me out. They did and I went running behind the car with my arms out crying for them to come back. My Aunt Vivian felt sorry for me and told them they better stop the car and let me back in. He reminds me a lot of his mother, Adria Port. When you make him laugh, he gets a twinkle in this eyes and his stomach just shakes. He has always had a great love of family. The one thing that stands out from everything else is the fact that no matter how tough things were, he always paid his tithes to his church before he did anything else.
