I refer to my Uncle James as my other daddy. He ran over me when I was 18 months old and I don't know if that is why, but we have always had a special bond. He always has a story to tell and he has always been funny. I can remember some of the things he taught me as a child (some of them not very nice) but he never would let anyone spank me for saying some of the things he taught me. I missed him so much when he went in service and can vividly remember the day he came home. I was walking down the road to visit Jane Avant when he and my cousin Basil Cribb passed by. I turned around and started running as fast as I could and nearly beat them to the house.
