Most of the information I have regarding the Cribb side of our family came from Aunt Emma's notes. I have never seen anyone who had a greater love of family than she did. Even though she was very poor and didn't always have a book to write her notes, she would take sewing thread and put through the holes of paper to keep things together. She had a "memories trunk" where she kept everything she could find regarding any of her relatives. She saved every newspaper clipping, pictures, cards or anything else. All through her notes, she stops to tell how much she loved her family; aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws. She told me one time that the only thing that could make her happier than living in "my old shack" would be if all her family could move in together at Pleasant Hill High School where she would be able to see them everyday. There is one note that states, "I love all Cribbs". She also states "I do hope some day I see all my nieces, great nieces & nephews and all my family meet each other and will always know who each other is. Always."
