49. William Ritchie COONS ⁽¹⁾ was born on Dec 19 1788 in Fredrick County, Virginia. He died on Mar 16 1864 in Cass County, Indiana. He was buried in Miami Baptist Cemetery, Cass County, Indiana. The Miami Baptist Church was constituted a church on July 25, 1842, with the following names: Rachel Coons, Samuel Coons, William R. Coons, Mary Coons, Moses Coons and Martha Coons. The building was built in 1848 which was the first building for a church in Miami Township, Cass County, Indiana.

He was married to Mary BUNTAIN (daughter of Moses BUNTAIN and Mary HAMILTON) on Oct 28 1812 in Highland County, Ohio. Mary BUNTAIN ⁽¹⁾ was born on Aug 30 1796 in Virginia. She died on Jul 28 1847 in Cass County, Indiana. William Ritchie COONS and Mary BUNTAIN had the following children:
